I know, I know, reality tv has gotten out of control! Most of it really is crap. But, I must admit, I LOVE this one. I think it's because I love the whole travel scene. Plus, it's go-go-go all throughout the whole episode. Any other fans of this show out there in blog-world? Anyhoo, so tonight my favorite team came in second to last place. They're still in, but it's not looking very good for them. They are parents with 2 little kids. All the rest of the teams are all-adult teams. I'm rooting for the underdog! The family I absolutely HATE is the Paulo family. They suck bad. Get off the freaking show!!!! They're always yelling at eachother and the oldest son is an a$$. I keep hoping that they'll mess up bad and come in last place. I'll laugh so hard when it finally happens and do a celebration dance.

"Raven"- The new weiner dog.

How big is your weiner? Well, mine is about 15 inches and 11lbs......my dog that is. She's a pure bred dauschund. She's just over 1 year old. We love her already and we've only had her for 2 days! She's seriously the best dog ever. Tame, sweet, trained, playful, etc... . Even better is that we got her for free from my daughter's birth mom. Brooke had no one to take care of Raven while she worked full time and went to school, so she offered the dog to us. We jumped at the chance since we've actually been wanting a dog for some time now. Woo Hoo! Anyway, she's the latest addition to our Mangum clan.

Tonight's question from the RS Journal Jar is-

What is your favorite song?

Goodness. I'm a lover of music so this is a hard one. I'm going to re-phrase the question to include my favorite songs. These are in no particular order, just some of my favorites:
1. One- U2
2. Into the Mystic- Van Morrison
3. Hotel California, live version- The Eagles
4. Take On Me- Aha
5. Fragile- Sting

Fabulous News!

I have simply wonderful news to share this time! I'm pregnant! Woo Hoo! I am 8 weeks along and due next May. It seems forever away now, but hopefully time will speed up and it will be here before I know it. This baby is long awaited. My son Matthew was premature (I delivered him by C-section at 29 weeks pregnant) and unfortunately had a rare brain disease and passed away. That was last February. Ever since I have longed for another baby, not to replace him, but to fill my empty arms. We have finally been given another chance and we're very excited. Nervous for all to be okay, but excited all the same. I'll give you updates as things progress, but currently all seems to be very normal and well. I'm tired as hell all the time and nauseous, but hey! it's for a good cause, right?!

Anyhoo, on with tonight's questions randomly picked from my RS "journal jar"-

If you were on a deserted island, what 5 things would you want to have with you and why?

Well, since I'm a HUGE "Survivor" fan, I have actually thought about this before! Obviously if I can't take people, only items, here's what I would bring: 1. An ax (it's a tool to cut all that bamboo and a weapon too!) 2. A tarp (I of course will be building an awesome shelter, but a tarp would be VERY helpful for a lot of things) 3. Fishing equipment 4. A set of pots and pans 5. My quad scripture set with a picture of my family as a bookmark! I know this all sounds pretty boring, but I guess I'm trying to be very realistic and prepared on this one.

Who is your favorite relative? Why?

Man. I have an awesome family. This is seriously a very hard question because they are all so great. But, I guess I must put my Mom up there for immediate family. She rocks. Anyone who is reading this right now and knows her would I'm sure undoubtebly agree. She has always been an example of dedicated service, strong spirituality, motivation, and is the perfect role model for me to teach my children. I could really go on and on about her. In my eyes, she has done very little wrong. If I turn out to be half the woman she is, then I would be very blessed indeed. As for my favorite extended relative, I would have to say my Aunt Joy. She's a little stressed at times, but she's a hoot. She's sewn many things for me throughout the years including dresses, baby things, pillowcases, etc.. I've also traveled a couple times with her. We've been to the Domican Republic and on a cruise together. We kind of have this unspoken knowledge with eachother that she's my favorite aunt, and I'm her favorite niece. Good stuff!

Yada Yada Yada.....

You know, when I first starting reading blogs, I thought, "Damn! I LOVE this! I've got to have my own, NOW!" However, I guess the reality that I really live an uneventful life has sunk in. I have nothing to write about!!! Thus, you have not heard from me in quite some time. Boo. I suppose if I had had a silly day, I could come on here and tell you all about it. But, unfortunetly, most days are pretty much the same mundane routine- wake up, put cartoons on for my daughter, go back to bed for an hour, wake up again, shower, lounge around or run errands, have lunch, lounge around or run errands, make dinner and work. Woo Hoo! Don't get me wrong, I love my life and family....it's just not very exciting for the most part, that's all! Anyhoo, so like I said, if something happens out of the ordinary, I shall post it here. Otherwise, I decided to pull a random question out of a jar (provided by the RS for enrichment night!) and answer it to make my blog more interesting. Here is tonight's question:

What did your Prom dress look like?

Well, I had two of them. My sophomore year I wore the same dress that I'd bought the year before for 9th grade Promotion. It was a bright red satin lacey frock. I wore white nylons and dyed bright red shoes to match. Cool, huh?! I had high bangs and my hair back in a banana clip. Remember those?! They rocked. Anyway, it was really pretty stupid now that I look back on my pictures. My junior year was MUCH better. I wore a deep purple velvet gown with the same color lace sleeves. It had a really sexy slit up the side that I enjoyed teasing and tormenting my date with all night. The heels were a very tasteful black velvet. The hair too was much better that year. I just left it down and curly. It would've been picture perfect except that I didn't smile in any of my pictures. I remember being self conscious about my un-straight teeth. I know, Duh!

So there you have it. I promise to write more now that I have my questions to answer to. Toodles!

"The 5 Senses....Not So Sense-ational!"

I have been tagged! My dear friend (and sister in law too!) Beck has invited me to take on the task of listing five things I dislike about the five senses. Okee Dokee then! Here we go.....

SMELL- 1. Rotten food in fridge*** (see below for more info). 2. The Kearns Library. Love the place, but it reeks. 3. Poop (mine, husband's, daughter's, yours). 4. Bad breath. This is why I brush at least 4x a day. 5. Old People's houses. You know what I'm talking about. It has that smell of old furniture, mildew and dying flesh all in one big stinky house of Hell.

SIGHT- 1. Other people's poop (husband's daughter's, yours). 2. Snot, in all it's forms. I can gag just looking at it and actually have a few times. 3. Really big boobs. I know some out there would debate this, but really, giant boobs are just gross. 4. Rotten food in fridge again. I hate the fuzzy grey mold that starts to form. 5. White Head Zits. The puss-both on your face and also splattered on the mirror.

TASTE- 1. Sour milk. Back to rotten food (you'd think I had a prob w/ this at my house or something!). 2. Fish. I'm with Beck on this one. Hate it! 3. Steamed Vegetables. The texture and taste is just too much for me. 4. Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Call me crazy, but I just can't do it. 5. Anything with beans.

TOUCH- 1. Unwashed oily hair. 2. Poop again. Too warm, too soft, too much. 3. Snakes. I avoid them like the plague. 4. Dry skin- it drives me batty! Both on myself and others. My hubby has exema on his hands and as much as I love him.....it's a HUGE pet peeve to touch his hands sometimes! Eeek! 5. Throw up. Yes, I've touched it. As a mother, I've had the joy of catching my own kid's barf in my hands on a couple of occasions.

HEARING- 1. Whining- of any kid. Makes me crazy! 2. The sound of someone scratching their head...yikes! 3. Other people having sex. I used to live in an apartment and boy did I hear it often. 4. Yelling. Yelling is for a--holes. 5. The sound of someone throwing up. I can still hear my dad running to the bathroom to retch still to this day.

*** When I was at USU, we had to clean out our apartment fridge before the winter holidays for inspection. We came across a tupperware container with some sort of yellow liquid in it. My roommate Kirsti said that it was her container, but she didn't recognize the food inside and told us to go ahead and get rid of it. I took the lid off and immediately got knocked away with the foulest odor I have EVER smelled. I actually dropped the container on the floor out of disgust! I started gagging and ran to the bathroom. Meanwhile my other roommate started to clean it up and soon joined me in the bathroom as well! Kirsti finally had the task of cleaning it up herself since it was hers anyway. She somehow got through it while the rest of us hid in our room with the door shut and locked. Needless to say though, the smell of it continued to permeate the air for several hours after. Kirsti thinks that it had at one time been peaches that she had meant to eat but forgotten. They actually turned to liquid and disintegrated it's own foulness!!!

So I guess I'm supposed to tag someone else now to do the same thing?! Well, seeing how I only know of a couple people right now w/ blogs that would even possibly read this, I guess I'll tag LinguaFrank! You're it.

Okay. So, Hi. I was reading my friend's bloggs and thought, Heck! I NEED this in my life! So, here I am. I'm a "newbie" at this- so forgive me if my virgin blogginess shows through from time to time.

So the name is Hottie. Do I think I'm hot?! Heck no. This is just what my husband calls me for some insane reason. But hey! If he wants to think I'm the sexiest Tigress in all the world, great!! I'm actually just a normal suburbian Mom living in Mormon Country. My wardrobe does NOT include sequined black "shirts" that are actually just a glorifed brassiere, nor does it include thigh highs with garters. Sorry folks. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Jeans instead of leather pants, T-shirts intead of halter tops, and flip-flops instead of red high heels. It's all very "safe", I assure you. Sometimes I get a little wild and put on my Second Skin pink shirt that clings to my boosies, but that's about it.

I'll be writting little ditties here and there. I work nights and actually get paid for doing nothing! What could be a more perfect time to add to my blog?!
